Cover Reveal: Made for More
Eek! Sharing my first book cover with you feels like an amazing dream coming true. Is this real life?????
From the moment I started dreaming about writing Made for More, I was expectant for all that God would do in me and others through it. And, oh, has He shown up.
The first day I sat down to write I had no plan. I didn’t have a blog. I didn’t have an e-mail list. I had nothing but a calling and a small group of family and friends cheering me on. It was a crazy time, and not much has changed in the crazy department.
I’ve come a long, long way. God has done more in me over the past three years than I could have ever imagined or planned on my own.
He’s taught me to hold my plans (and every deadline) loosely.
He’s taught me that the tough, lonely “behind the keyboard” experiences often matter more than the success that others see.
He’s taught me that faithfulness ALWAYS matters more than the outcome.
He’s taught me that my attitude and creativity flow out of my relationship with Him. If I’m not spending time with my Savior, this whole thing just doesn’t work.
He’s taught me that my calling may never fit into a nice, tidy box and that is OK.
I had no idea the joy and hope that writing would usher into my life but I know that God knew. He knew that it would make me come alive. He knew that through writing I would find redemption and restoration for every battle I’d fought and every wound that lingered.
Through every word, every blog post, every book I get an opportunity to give Jesus away to others. I’ve never taken this lightly because it matters so, so much.
Through this book, I hope you see that God has made you for more too. It’s why I wrote it.
God created us for so much more than our small minds can ever imagine AND more than anything we could ever accomplish on our own.
• God created us for more than perfection. • God created us for more than plans. • God created us for more than guilt. • God created us for more than complacency. • God created us for more than weakness. • God created us for more than grudges. • God created us for more than hesitating. • God created us for more than following people. • God created us for more than manipulation.
Everything I just listed, His grace covers it all (and you can read about it in Made for More). Let’s live lives that give and receive grace over every struggle in our lives. When we live this way, the glory of God will radiate from us.
Friends, God is in the restoration business and we are made for His glory.
We are made for more… And I pray that God reveals this in your own life as you read my story through my humble words.

I want to leave you with a prayer today.
These are Paul’s words in Ephesians 1 and I couldn’t have written a better prayer myself. Please know that I am praying over you as you read Made for More.
15 For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, 16 I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. 17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength 20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 22 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.
